Creating Work Items from the Ribbon Bar

To create a new work item from the ribbon bar, click on the "Create Work Item" button designated by the black pencil and the orange plus sign.

This will open a drop-down menu containing the available work item types in your default project and the final option "Choose Work Item..."

Clicking the create work item button opens a drop-down menu containing all the available work item types for your default project and the final option Choose Work Item...

Selecting any of the default work item types will open the corresponding form. Selecting "Choose Work Item..." will open a window where you may choose another project and then a new work item type within that project. Click OK to open the corresponding form.

If you get to this point and realize that you have not connected to the project that you need to create a work item for, you may shortcut to project connections by clicking "TeamLook Options."
