Creating Work Items in TeamSpec

With TeamSpec you can create a new work item and reference it in your document at the same time. Work items created in TeamSpec can be published to the server. TeamSpec gives you all the control over work items that TFS offers without ever leaving Microsoft Word. There are four ways to create a new work item in TeamSpec:

Creating a Work Item from the Ribbon Bar

With the "New Work Item" tool in the TeamSpec ribbon bar, you can create a new work item with the familiar work item form from Microsoft Visual Studio.

Creating a Work Item with Drag-and-Drop

You can easily creat a new work item just by dragging textual information into place on the index tab.

Creating a Work Item by Associating

By using the "Associate Tab" you can convert textual content into both a new work item on the server and a new work item reference in your document with one easy process.

Creating a Work Item from an Empty Skin

You can insert an empty skin into your document. By filling in the blanks of the fields specified by the skin, you will create a new work item .

Creating a Work Item by Cloning an Existing Work Item

If you have a work item referenced in your document with a skin, you can create an empty clone of it. By filling in the blanks of the clone, you can create a new work item.
