Preferences

You can access the TeamSpec Preferences from the button on the TeamSpec tab of the ribbon bar.

The preferences window will come up with the "General" tab open. On the "General" tab you can turn TeamSpec's warning messages on or off.

The TeamSpec preferences window.

In the background there are three tabs: "Users," "Area Paths," and "Iteration Paths." When referencing a work item's AssignedTo, Area Path, or Iteration Path field; TeamSpec displays the options for the field in a drop-down menu. For big companies that have hundreds of employees and many versions of many products on their server, displaying all the possible users, area paths, or iteration paths would be very clumsy and could crash your machine. To address this issue, TeamSpec populates those drop-down menus with only the first 25 options. You can access the rest of them by choosing "...More."

When there are many possible values for a work item field in a drop-down menu, click ...More to see all the options.

This will open a list of all the available options in its own window.

A list of more users opens in its own window.

However, if there are certain individuals, areas, or iterations that you use more often; you can add them to the list of Preferred Users, Area Paths, or Iteration Paths in TeamSpec's Preferences. All of your preferred options will be displayed in the first 25 easily accessible in the drop-down menu.
