The TeamSpec Ribbon Bar
1. Connect to or disconnect from any server or project with the "Add TFS Connection"
tool. See Connecting to your Server
for more information.
2. Select an active server and project with the "Server:" and "Project:" drop-down
menus. Anything that you do in TeamSpec will only pertain to the active server and
project. See Connecting to your Server

3. To create a new work item within your active project, open a new work item form
by clicking on the "New Work Item" button. See
Creating Work Items in TeamSpec for more information.
4. To find work items in your active project, you can perform a quick search. Type
keywords into the field in the ribbon bar. Then click the binoculars to run the
search. See Searching Work Items for
more information.
5. For more complex searches use the "Work Item Queries" tool. You can also access
queries you've saved. See Searching Work Items
for more information.
6. To update values in your document that may be outdated, click "Refresh" to import
values from the Team Foundation Server. See
Publishing & Refreshing for more information.
7. To update the server with new values from your document, click "Publish." See
Publishing & Refreshing
for more information.
8. A TeamSpec skin is a format for representing a work item in your document. Skins
are customizable: you can choose which values from the work item form are displayed,
you can choose how those values are displayed, and you can even create skins that
pre-populate certain fields. See Skins for
more information.
9. You can forge links between your TeamSpec document and the work items it pertains
to with the "Document Links" feature. Then members of you team can access your document
from a link within the work item in Microsoft Visual Studio. See

10. The "TeamSpec Panel" button in the ribbon bar displays or hides the TeamSpec
Panel.
11. To open TeamSpec preferences, click the "Preferences" button. See
Preferences for more information.
